F.S.G. kicked off the 2026–2027 school year in style! 🎉📚
We would like to extend a special thank you to the members of the Ridgway Area High School Senior Class for assisting our students as they got off the buses and escorting them to their classrooms.

We would also like to thank Chief Hinton and Officer Shreffler of the Ridgway Borough Police Department, Trooper Lenze and Trooper Ulicen of the Pennsylvania State Police, and Mayor Ray Imhof for taking the time to greet our students as they entered F.S.G. to begin another exciting school year.

Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are excited to invite you and your child to our Kindergarten Orientation on Tuesday, August 25th at 5:00 PM at Francis S. Grandinetti Elementary School.
📍 Location: 62 School Drive
🚪 Please enter through the main entrance of the building.
This special event is designed to help you and your kindergartener feel prepared and excited for the upcoming school year. During the orientation, you’ll have the opportunity to:

📢 Anticipated Special Education Para-Educator Position

The Ridgway Area School District has an opening for a full time Special Education Para-Educator. This position starts at $14.05/hr with benefits. To qualify, applicants must have a High School Diploma or higher.

F.S.G. Elementary School would like to extend a sincere thank you to Lakeside Landscaping for their efforts in caring for and maintaining Hailey’s Bench.

We especially want to recognize Chris, Carson, and Gianna Devallance for generously donating their time, labor, and materials to help keep this special place looking its best.

Hailey’s Bench was created in memory of Hailey Matheson and represents kindness, friendship, and inclusion. The idea behind the bench is simple: if a child is sitting there, they may need a friend. We encourage students to notice, reach out, and invite them to play. The bench is also a special place where students can sit, relax, and enjoy a good book. ELKER PRIDE!!!
