Yesterday, ECCSS band teacher Mr. Baranik visited SLS to discuss band lessons with our 4th graders. At St. Leo, students in grades 5 - 8 have the opportunity to play an instrument, and all 4th grade students are required to take band. This helps students learn what instruments they find interesting and gives them the chance to explore band and different instruments.
During his visit, Mr. Baranik gave a demonstration on how to put instruments together, along with how to play them. He also explained the criteria used in band.

Our dates are filling up fast!! If you want to secure a spot on our 2027 calendar, be sure to reach out soon, especially if you have specific dates that you would like.

Remember that if you sponsor a date or more on any given month that exceeds $100, you can have your business logo on that month along with a memo of your choice on each date you sponsor (35 character minimum).

Our kindergarten students spent some time observing “The Virgin in Prayer” painting by Sassoferrato. Students did their best to recreate this painting during Religion class. Picture Studies are a big part of our curriculum here at SLS! We love to observe and discuss the beauty and wonder of a piece of art. 🎨

We were excited to welcome our Pre3 students this morning. Enjoy a few pictures of some of our littlest students!

✝️THE YEAR OF FAITH✝️

For the 2026-2027 school year, St. Leo School will be studying the Year of Faith!

Our virtue for the month of September is Faith. Faith is “believing in God and all He has revealed.” There are many stories in the Bible that discuss those who doubt God, including the story of Doubting Thomas (St. Thomas the Apostle). We can make a conscious effort to live in God's presence here and now, remembering that we need not see to believe.
