Innovation & Inventions week!✨

Voyagers became scientists, engineers, and big-time problem solvers during Innovation & Inventions week with edible experiments, Junkbot building, a visit from Pinhead Science, and so much more! 🧪🤖

And just like that, we also wrapped up our summer enrichment program last week. Stay tuned as we continue to recap all the adventures Voyagers packed into an unforgettable summer!

We’ll be back and ready for more fun when our After-School Program kicks off Monday, August 31! ✨

Eco-Heroes Week 🌎

Voyagers spent the week discovering just how much there is to protect right here in our own backyard!
We explored the state park, learned so much from the Uncompahgre Watershed Partnership, went behind the scenes at the wastewater plant, and had another fun and informative day with SJMA. We also got creative with recycled materials, turning “trash” into sculptures and birdfeeders, made candles with the Ridgway library's Tween & Teen program, and made plenty of time for some high-flying fun at Get Air! 🤸‍♀️

A week full of muddy shoes, big questions, and learning that caring for our planet starts right where we are. 🌎

Week 6: Wildlife Wonders 🦎

What a WILD week! Voyagers became junior naturalists as we investigated animal skeletons, gently handled adorable silky chicks, built survival shelters at Woods Lake, biked to the reservoir, made some new friends at the alpaca farm, and let our imaginations swim free while creating colorful sea creatures! Goldie the mini-unicorn also made an appearance, how sweet! 🦄

Week 4: Art Adventures 🎨

Creativity took over as Voyagers tried their hand at the pottery wheel, designed their own costume creations, made balloon pop art, tie-dyed colorful masterpieces, explored their artistic side at Mosaic & Amazing Glaze in Montrose, and more!

This week we're wrapping up Rocket Week, looking a little different than years past as we adapt around the Gold Mountain Fire and the air quality.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone working tirelessly to keep our communities safe. ❤️ Through it all, Voyagers continue to embrace every adventure with curiosity, resilience, and plenty of fun!

Week 3: STEM Discovery Week! 🔬

Curious minds were hard at work for STEM Discovery Week. Voyagers built shelters with , engineered floating boats, egg drops, and mini fans, and explored the fascinating world of science and mining with visits to and ! Wow, what a week!

Week 2 of Summer Enrichment was a splashtastic adventure for Splash & Sports week!

Swimming at the field house and rec center, climbing at the Ouray Adventure Center, backyard splash bashes, DIY goalie crafts in honor of the World Cup, and of course, a Get Air visit. 🤸‍♀️
