🍀🐴 A NEW BEGINNING IN ELK COUNTY 4-H! 🐄🐕🐇

Something NEW is growing in Elk County 4-H, and we want YOU to be part of it! 💚

We’re starting a NEW 4-H Animal Project Club focused on learning, hands-on experiences, friendships, and FUN!

Youth ages 8–18 can explore the animal science projects that interest them — including:

🐴 Horse
🏇 Performance Horse
🐄 Livestock
🐶 Pets
🐰 And MORE!

This club isn’t all about showing animals. It’s about learning about animals, developing skills, trying new things, and enjoying the experience. And if showing is something you want to pursue, we’ll help guide you along the way!

The Elk and Cameron County 4-H programs are looking for positive, passionate adults to serve as volunteers for traditional clubs, projects, and youth activities.

The sky is the limit when it comes to 4-H project topics! Each project offers educational value, while encouraging leadership, hard work, life skills and problem solving. Leaders do not need strong topic knowledge to help guide clubs…just a passion to help youth become the best that they can be.

🧑‍🌾 Join us on Tuesday, April 7th, at the St. Marys Area School District Outdoor Classroom for the monthly Farm Talk meeting starting at 6 PM. We will be joined by guest speaker, Dr. Tara Felix.

🐂 Dr. Felix is an Associate Professor in the Department of Animal Science at Penn State University. She is a member of the Livestock Extension Team and the state's Extension Beef Cattle Specialist. Her areas of expertise: Beef cattle nutrition, beef cattle metabolism, beef cattle management, and feedlot nutrition and management.

👏We are excited to have Dr. Tara Felix join us at this month's meeting, and we hope you will join us too!
