West Side Nursery School, licensed by the state of New Jersey, was founded in 1960 as a community outreach of West Side Presbyterian Church (www.westside.org). West Side Nursery School is a warm and caring place for children to learn and grow. Our large, light-filled, well-equipped classrooms are climate-controlled. The school also has a uniquely expansive, half-acre playground. This well-shaded a

nd fenced-in area is naturally landscaped with safe, age-appropriate equipment. Children go out to the playground all year long as part of our curriculum. West Side Nursery School’s primary goal is to nurture and teach children so that they may grow in a positive manner, becoming caring, thoughtful, creative, and responsible members of our society with a lifelong love of learning. The curriculum includes developmentally appropriate goals for preschoolers, centered on indoor and outdoor play, art, music, letter/sound recognition and formation, counting and cardinality, and hands-on experiences in math, science, and social studies. The director and staff, all trained in early childhood education, are capable, friendly, experienced, and accessible. Teachers are always available for conferences, whether formal or informal. They take pride in providing a rich program for the children that enables them to play and work while learning. West Side Nursery School offers the following core programs in the morning, 8:45 - 11:30am:

Mommy & Me - 18 months
Transitional Parent & Me - child must be 2 years old by June 30th
2 1/2's Program - child must be 2 1/2 by Sept 1st
3's Program - child must be 3 by Oct 1st
4's Program - child must be 4 by Oct 1st
Kindergarten Enrichment (morning and afternoon available)

In addition we offer the following afternoon enrichment based programs:

Lunch Bunch - your child will stay for an additional hour for lunch
Lunch n Learn
Explore the Arts
Explore and Play

We also offer 5 weeks of fun filled summer camp! Each week is a different theme.
