Unfortunately, we were notified today that one of our students has tested positive for COVID-19. Under current State of NJ Department of Health guidelines, all individuals who had “close contact,” even masked, with an individual who is infected must quarantine for 14 days. Given that this would include a third of our teaching staff, we will be transitioning to 100% virtual education for the next 14 days, beginning tomorrow. Dear Parents and Students,
In anticipation of a weather event that could result in a snow day on Thursday 12/17 and the need to have a delayed opening on Friday, we are being proactive in making this Friday 12/18 a “Virtual Day.” Given our current schedule, a delayed opening would not be practical. In addition, a practice “Virtual Day” would give teachers and students an opportunity to fine tune how our virtual education would take place if we needed to shut down and/or quarantine at some point. Hopefully, that will not happen.
Students will follow the regular Friday schedule only from home. Teachers will set up meeting times on Microsoft Teams or Zoom. Attendance will be taken each period. If students do not show up, they will be marked absent and their participation grade will be negatively affected. Therapy sessions will follow the regular Friday schedule as well.

Happy Halloween! On Friday, 10/30/20, students will be permitted to wear school appropriate Halloween costumes and will have the opportunity to participate in some fun activities as a reward for their excellent progress and compliance with school reopening mandates since September. Our reopening restrictions including wearing COVID-19 appropriate face coverings at all times, frequent sanitizing of hands and commonly touched surfaces, and social distancing continue. Please keep this in mind in choosing an appropriate costume and participating in Halloween related activities. Enjoy! Dr. Steve

School Closure/Distance Learning county Executive James Tedesco has ordered the closing of all Bergen County Schools until further notice beginning on Monday, March 16 and transition to online and paper learning in an effort to curb the spread of Covid 19.
