Learn from the Best! Digital Photography Class #215 taught by professional photographer, Chuck Solomon. Tuesday nights starting March 10th, 7:00-8:15 pm at Ridgewood High School. Six week class and 2 field trips.
Digital Cameras give the photo enthusiast the opportunity to make great pictures that were never possible to capture on film. This class is for the beginner to intermediate student who wants to learn how to use their digital cameras to create stunning photos. You will learn how to take your cameras out of the automatic mode and creatively choose shutter speeds, f-stops, and ISO. You will learn how to get the images off of digital cards and onto a computer and even look at post processing in programs such as Photoshop. Attention will be paid to the different types of digital cameras including DSLR and mirrorless cameras. We will also cover rule of thirds, selective focus, depth of field, leading lines and shooting jpegs and raw and how to compose an image. There will be six classroom sessions and two Saturday morning field trips (TBD). You will get a chance to show your work from the trips and an independent project. Best suited for those with adjustable camera, laptop or computer to store and view images and an editing program. $135
