When your community asks for help, you do what you can! ππ€
Tuesday night looked a little different at Little Ivy Academy. Instead of kids building robots, their parents came in to learn the ropes themselves!
These awesome volunteers coach the Waldwick AMP and Waldwick Electric robotics teams, and most of them had never built a robot before Tuesday. One of our coaches connected with their team lead and offered to help however we could.
We covered the basics: building and programming a LEGO Spike Prime, how FIRST LEGO League competitions actually work, and a real mission run on our Submerged challenge mat. Then we leveled up with sensors, so their robots could sense and respond to the world around them.
By the end of the night, a room full of first-time builders were troubleshooting, debugging, and cheering each other on like it was their own competition! π
That's what community support looks like to us.
