Help add to our library’s book collection AND celebrate your child with a BIRTHDAY BOOK!

One way to recognize a student's birthday is through the donation of a "Birthday Book". Parents may purchase a book to donate to the school library in honor of their scholar's birthday.

We will have a special bookplate with the child's name and birthday adhered inside the front cover of the book.
Throughout the year, books that best supplement the existing collection will be purchased. You can also select a book of your choice from a catalogue of available titles.
If your child's birthday is in summer, we will display their selected books in January/February.
Your child can be the first one to check the book out. Once returned, it becomes part of the Media Center collection so other students can enjoy it, too. During the year, birthday books may be displayed in a special section of the Media Center.

Tickets are on sale for TIC TOC’s
“A Midsummer Night’s Dream”
featuring the Shakespeare Theatre of NJ!
The event will take place on:
SUNDAY, MARCH 26, 2PM at George Washington Middle School in Ridgewood.
Show Tickets are $15.
The Acting Workshop tickets are $20 (space is limited).
Both Show & Workshop ticket bundle is $30.
Plus enjoy a Q&A with the actors after the show!

Gift a new book to the Media Center with a $20 donation in honor of your child's birthday. Mrs. Brown, our media specialist, will purchase books that best supplement the existing collection or your child may choose from a title from a catalogue. Your child's name will be placed on a bookplate in one of the new books during the month of their birthday. All new books will be displayed in the Media Center so students can check them out and enjoy them! Names and birthdays will be displayed along with the books.

Your HSA dues support student enrichment activities throughtout the year.

Unified Field Day will be held on Thursday, June 9th (rain date June 16th) from 4:30-5:45pm at Somerville Elementary School. This will be an outdoor event on the back field behind the school.

All middle school and high school students are welcome to attend.

GW HSA celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week from May 2 to May 6.

We are so grateful to our Educators and Administrators for always inspiring, guiding and supporting our students and helping them to learn, grow and succeed.
