The last week of Summer Kids Club was the perfect way to wrap up an AMAZING summer! ☀️💙

We packed the week with so much fun from indoor fun with a bounce house and axe throwing, to our Woodworking Club! We ended the week by joining the Goodview Days kiddie parade, enjoying some fun activities, and watching and participating in the tractor pull!

It’s hard to believe another summer has come to an end! We are so thankful for all the memories, laughs, adventures, and friendships made along the way.

We’re already looking forward to another GREAT summer next year with even more fun, adventures, and memories! Until then, SKC! ☀️

Ridgeway Community School will welcome our students and their families to our Back-to-School Orientation Nights. The Preschool Orientation Night will be held on Tuesday, August 25th from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. and the Kindergarten to 5th Grade Open House will be held on Thursday, August 27th from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. The staff members of Ridgeway Community School are looking forward to seeing all of our returning students and welcoming our new students to a great school year.

A huge thank you to Jerry Benedict, his family, and Island City RC for sharing the exciting world of RC cars with our SKC students!

Last week, the kids had the opportunity to test out the RC cars at school, and today they took their skills to the track in Winona for some exciting races. They also learned how to troubleshoot and fix the RC cars when problems came up, making it both a fun and educational experience.

Thank you again, Jerry, for taking the time to share this amazing hobby and hands-on learning opportunity with our students. We truly appreciate your generosity and all you did to make this experience so memorable!

The last few weeks have been nothing but memories! 💙

From Adventure Week to Art Week, Science Week, and Food Week, we’ve packed so much fun into this summer! We’ve explored through science experiments, made homemade butter and ice cream, picked fresh blueberries, raced RC cars, spent time swimming, created amazing art, and, most importantly, made unforgettable memories together.

It’s hard to believe we’re heading into the last few weeks of Summer Kids Club. We’re excited to finish the summer strong and make every moment count! ☀️💛

Today is the Day for the FREE Ridgeway Community Celebration from 10 AM to 3 PM. The event features a Chicken-Q, Tractor and Classic Car Show, Vendor Fair, and Lots of kids' activities (Pedal Tractor Pull begins at 11:30 a.m.)
This year our PIE AUCTION will be held as a SILENT PIE AUCTION, with bidding ending just before the Darr Family Band takes the stage for their second act at about 2:00 p.m. The band will be playing behind the school, using the outdoor classroom as their stage. If you are planning to enjoy the band, please bring a lawn chair to sit on. There will be parking for handicapped and senior citizens on the east side of the building near the gym. Folks who are picking up their Chicken Dinner to go can also park on the east side of the building. All others are asked to park on the road.
Tractors and classic cars, please pull in on the south side of the parking lot near C.R. 12. We are anticipating a beautiful day to enjoy our friends and neighbors!

We are just a few days away from our FREE Annual Ridgeway Community Celebration and are looking forward to seeing our school families, friends, and neighbors on what is looking to be a beautiful day!

In addition to the Tractor and Classic Car Show, there will be a Vendor Fair along with all of the kids' activities, Chicken-Q, music by the Darr Family Band, and a Pie Auction. Mark your calendar to stop by Ridgeway, MN for some old-fashioned fun this Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The FREE Annual Ridgeway Community Celebration will be held Sunday, August 3rd from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Ridgeway Community School. The event will feature chicken-Q provided by Steakshop Catering, the Robert Hass Memorial Tractor and Classic Car Show, a kiddie tractor pull, and a variety of other kids’ activities. There will also be school memorabilia on display as the school celebrates 25 years serving the Ridgeway community as a FREE public charter school and 61 years since the school building was constructed. The Darr Family Band will play in the afternoon, with a 2:00 p.m. pie auction being held during the band’s break. Those bringing tractors and classic cars are asked to have them in place by 10:00 a.m.

The children’s activities, which include touch-a-truck, a barrel train, and water balloon games, will be taking place throughout the day. A pedal tractor pull, beginning with the oldest peddlers, will begin at 11:30 a.m. Age groups for the pedal tractor pull will be 9 & 10, 7 & 8, 5 & 6, and 3 & 4 year olds, with the oldest students participating first. All participants will receive ribbons, and trophies will be given to the top three finishers in each age category. Ridgeway’s 4th and 5th grade classes will sell refreshments and a BBQ Chicken Dinner beginning at 11:00 a.m.; a children’s hot dog meal will also be available for purchase. Proceeds from the Chicken-Q will support their 3-day overnight field trip to Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center. The meals will be available until 2:00 p.m. or when sold out.

The live pie and baked goods auction will take place at 2:00 p.m. with Mark Frickson as auctioneer. The auction supports the costs of putting on the free event as well as other community service projects the school conducts throughout the year, including the veterans and volunteer recognition luncheons held each year. The event is free, and everyone is invited to join in the fun by meeting up with old friends and making new ones!
