With the theme, “Identity in Christ,” 31 JPII sixth graders left classes and schoolwork behind yesterday as they attended their annual retreat, held at St. Gregory the Great.
JPII’s ACTS29 Peer Ministry, consisting of seniors, planned and provided the retreat, which focused on our sixth graders finding their identity in Christ through friendship, confidence and purpose. The day included Mass and Adoration, presentations by ACTS29 members, small-group breakouts for discussion, games, food, fellowship and fun.
“The retreat was a beautiful way for our youngest students to experience Christ as they begin to build friendships not only with one another, but with Christ,” said Campus Minister Deacon Brent Heathcott. “I am proud of our ACTS29 team for how they poured themselves into planning and executing a wonderful retreat!”
Next up will be the seventh-grade retreat Oct. 1 at St. Gregory the Great.
