Weapons Are Part of the Art
Weapon training is an important part of traditional martial arts. It develops coordination, timing, distance, footwork, focus, and body control—and those skills carry directly into empty-hand fighting.
Training with traditional weapons isn't about learning to hurt someone. It's about developing discipline, understanding movement, and preserving the deeper traditions of the martial arts.
At Sun and Moon Martial Art Studio, we train the weapon to better understand the art. www.sunandmoonart.com

Blocking Matters
Blocking is one of the most important skills a child can learn for self-defense. It teaches them how to protect themselves, create space, and react when something unexpected happens. In our classes, we focus on building those skills through repetition, discipline, and proper technique—while always emphasizing that self-defense is about protection, not fighting. www.sunandmoonart.com
The Wu Dip Dao (Butterfly Swords) are one of the signature weapons of traditional Hung Gar Kung Fu. Designed for close-range combat, they teach coordination, timing, power, and the ability to attack and defend simultaneously. Though compact in size, they embody the same principles of balance, structure, and rooted power found throughout Hung Gar.
