Gravity tested. Engineering responded. 🥚

Our physics students put their designs to the ultimate energy transfer challenge— and not every egg made it. Learning never looked so cracked!

📢 Final Week to Give!

We’re raising $4,000 to support Rafiki Foundation students—providing classical Christian education and daily meals to children across Africa.

Just $15 covers three months for one student. Every gift, prayer, and act of support matters!

Check your Classreach inbox to see how you can give today and help us reach our goal!

While many schools continue to increase screen use at younger and younger ages, we strive to keep technology in its proper place — a useful servant, but never the master.

Students are not best formed by doing the majority of their reading on a screen. Deep attention, rich imagination, and a love for language have been cultivated most naturally through the steady companionship of a printed book for centuries.

There is something encouraging about seeing students bent over real pages — turning them slowly and delighting in a story well told.

Watching our sixth graders absorbed in good books reminds us that education is not meant to be rushed or digitized, but patient, embodied, and alive. We hope it brings a smile to you, too!

We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Christopher Schlect for our upcoming Supper Seminar!

A Fellow of History at New Saint Andrews College, Dr. Schlect will lead us in an engaging workshop on the progymnasmata — the time-tested writing and speaking exercises of Ancient Greece and Rome.

For centuries, these exercises shaped students into thoughtful writers and eloquent speakers. As part of the modern classical education renewal, we are joyfully reclaiming the progym to help form students who can think clearly, write persuasively, and speak well.

We look forward to an evening of rich learning and practical encouragement as we equip parents and faculty to better support their students in this enduring tradition.

Art Showcase is one of our favorite evenings 🖼️

Our entire Gryphon community gathered to linger around tables filled with beautiful sketches, mixed media pieces, paintings, and sculptures. Culinary creations were sampled and savored, while student musicians provided a lovely soundtrack throughout the evening.

At Saint Augustine, art is so much more than a project—it is a practice of attention, patience, and joy. The beauty our students create reflects more than their skill and imagination; it points beyond itself. Every brushstroke and carefully shaped form offers a small glimpse of our Good Creator, the ultimate Artist.

What a gift it is to pause together and celebrate the talent and beauty our place has been gifted.

Love was alive and well all week in our Gryphon community. 💕

Walking the halls on Thursday, you could hear the sound of Scripture echoing from every grade level as students recited from 1 John 4:

“Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.”

From our seniors being surprised with sweet cards and treats from their mamas to our tiniest Gryphons delighting in their Valentine celebrations, joy filled every corner of Saint Augustine School.

But the love didn’t stop at our doors.

Over the weekend, our second graders carried it into the community with a visit to the residents at Beau Ridge Assisted Living — a tangible reminder that love grows deeper when it is given away.

What a gift it is to belong to a community that not only speaks of love, but lives it.

Soccer season may have come to an end, but the camaraderie between these Gryphons continues well beyond the field.

They endured tough losses and exciting wins, all while maintaining an attitude of excellence.

Post-final-game Mexican food… or did the season even happen? 🌮⚽

Great work, guys!

Our students are officially 100 days wiser, and our Lower School was full of tiny centenarians shuffling about in style. From suspenders to pearls, the creativity was on full display. And just when we thought 100 meant slow and sleepy, our PE teacher, Erika Reeves, reminded us that 100 can be downright cool.

Here’s to continuing to grow in wisdom over the next 100 days, Gryphons!
