Ms Kay's Kids

Robert Lewis Rhett ,69, of Madison, MS, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024 in St. Dominic’s Hopital after having a stroke on Sunday afternoon.

Bob was born on July 28, 1954 to Clarence Rowe Rhett,Sr. and Betty Lewis Rhett. He was raised in Cleveland, Ms and graduated from Bayou Academy. He attended Delta State University. He was a salesman for Wade Implement in Indianola, MS and a salesman and national sales manager for Quality Steel Corporation in Cleveland, MS. He married Kay Sartain Rhett on January 11, 1992. Bob and Kay lived in Cleveland and attended First Baptist Church. In 2006, they moved to the Madison County area where he was a salesman for Campania International. He was a member and a deacon of Highland Colony Baptist Church.

In September 2013, Bob suffered a brain bleed that left him with neuropathy on his right side. With great determination, he regained use of his right side and was faithful in going to the gym to get better and overcome the effects of this stroke. His testimony was, “When riding in the hospital in the ambulance, I had a peace that no matter the outcome, I would be o.k. I knew I was saved and I was doing to heaven.”

He is survived by his wife, Kay and two stepchildren, Claire Rogers (Brent) and Todd Hart. He leaves behind 6 grandchildren, Mary Jayson Rogers, Hart Rogers, Carlie Rogers, Landon Russell, Mary Karson Hart, and Levi Hart. He is survived by his twin brother, Glenn Rhett (Gail) of Vicksburg, MS and Rowe Rhett,Jr. (Melinda) of Cordova, TN,
and 8 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Rowe Rhett and Betty Lewis Rhett.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024 at Highland Colony Baptist Church, 1200 Highland Colony Parkway, Ridgeland,MS from 12:00-1:00 p.m. with the service immediately following in the church sanctuary. Interment will be in the Natchez Trace Funeral Home Cemetary, 759 Highway 51, Madison,MS. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Highland Colony Baptist Building Fund or a charity of your choice.

Bob loved flowers and his yard. In honor of him, the family asks that you wear something bright and cheerful to his Celebration of Life.

Does your child want to play ukulele? The Sisters’ Studios in Ridgeland will be offering 30 minute Ukulele lessons for the school year beginning Tuesday, September 6 from 4:00-4:30. Cost for the class is $70 a month plus a registration fee of $65.00 which includes a ukulele kit (ukulele, strap, pick and carrying bag). This class is for children ages 7-10. We have two spots available for our Beginner’s Piano Camp next week. It will be held from 4:00-5:00 on Monday, June 13-Thursday, June 16. Cost is$115 which includes their book and a music bag. Contact me to reserve these last two spots! 601-906-0808.

Register your child, ages 4-7, for a FUN, half day camp! This camp requires no musical experience. Your child will be able to play a song in a rock band by the end of the three hour camp!
