The ECC celebrated Israel yesterday and Miss Jocelyne today! Each class made a part of the Israeli Flag and our enrichment students made the yummy cake!

Spring cleaning has begun at the ECC and the sandbox took top priority! The children helped get the leaves out, raked the packed sand to loosen it up, and they loved watching the new clean sand go in!

Welcome Mr. Robert! Shir Shalom has hired Robert as our part-time security guard to support Mr. Pat. ECC students have warmly welcomed him and we are excited to have him as part of our team!

The ECC hosted a Voting Day event last week and our Pre-K Class tallied up the votes the next day. Since public schools are closed on Voting Day, we invited past ECC families as well as the siblings of our current students to stop by Shir Shalom and join us in voting on 8 important issues such as challah flavor, favorite pets, and favorite season. Following our Shabbat Service yesterday, the ECC loaded up and delivered the first load of food donations from the Shir Shalom High Holy Days Drive. Next week our B’Yachad students deliver the rest!

The ECC kicked off High Holy Day Celebrations last Friday with a special Shabbat service and oneg. Our Pre-K friends made apple bread to share, in the sanctuary we sang, danced and listened to the shofar, and we ended with a nosh and apple tasting. La Shanah Tovah to all!
