We've been extensively studying Dr. Hanleys Practical Functional Assessment (PFA) process and are so pleased with the outcomes were seeing in our clients and staff. Friends, we have BIG news! The Hangout Spot's new "home away from home" location at 161 East Avenue in Norwalk, Connecticut is now open! We are expanding our circle of friends this Fall to include virtual options children can participate in from the comfort of their own homes as well as in-person programming with rigorous safety precautions in place to protect our children, families, and staff. Is this your first time meeting us? The Hangout Spot provides specialized play and social skills instruction rooted in Applied Behavior Analysis, the science of learning and behavior. We offer thoughtfully structured, experiential learning delivered in small group settings through on-site programs and remote teaching. Our developmental playgroups and social skills classes are beneficial for all children ages birth to 18 learning the art of play and all things social, including children growing up without siblings, children hooked on technology, children learning to be leaders, children experiencing social anxiety, children with autism and other special needs, and children who play a role in bullying. Daytime options are available for friends who will be learning from home this season, and we have after school/early evening programs as well. •Increases the response effort (difficulty) without changing the outcome.
•Can lead to defective language instead of dynamic, flexible language.
