Mrs. Michelle Brouchoud, coach of the Murray Middle School robotics teams, and her students present a signed photo from the VEX Robotics World Championships to the Ridge Community Foundation of Valleys Credit Union. Murray Middle School robotics teams 7422M, 7422X, and 7422Z are home from the VEX Robotics World Championships!

"We had an incredible experience last week in Dallas, TX, competing among the best middle school teams in the world!" said Robotics Coach Michelle Brouchoud, who was joined by many parents to chaperone and cheer on our home teams at the event.

"The teams did great, winning a few matches, but not ranking high enough to make the knock out tournament rounds. They enjoyed every moment of the busy 4 days, from an aquarium visit, enjoying each other's company at the apartments to of course, the atmosphere of the largest robotics competition, meeting teams from across the globe!"

The teams met with other teams from around the world, using Google Translate in some scenarios to communicate with their counterparts.

"The kids are very excited about moving into next year's game and learning from seeing the best robots of this year!"

With a $1,000 donation from AltaOne Federal Credit Union, the Murray Middle School robotics teams are within striking distance of the $15,000 goal to raise travel costs for VEX Robotics World Championships! Our three teams will be leaving this week to compete in the tournament. There’s still time if you want to become a sponsor! Yesterday was a fantastic day for our Murray Middle School teams! Mrs. Brouchoud introduced the kids to some of our sponsors, and they were able to give a demonstration!

Cosner-Neipp donates $1,000 to Robotics for STEM in order to help Murray Middle School robotics students to compete in the VEX Robotics World Championships this month!
