The France School of Dance teachers are qualified to serve the needs of beginner to advanced students in ballet, tap, pointe, jazz, lyrical and hip hop. Carole France Janes, the director of the Salem Keizer FSOD, is a professionally trained dancer and instructor, trained in ballet, pointe, tap and jazz (Children a Specialty). Carole studied dance in Salem, Oregon and then moved to Los Angeles, California, during the 1950's, to continue her dance training. Some of Carol's instructors were Eddie Gay, Willie Covan and Al Gilbert. Carole moved back to Keizer and opened her own dance studio in 1960. Linda France Martin, daughter of Carole, is a partner of the Salem Keizer studio. Linda is also the owner of the Rickreall studio. Linda has studied dance since the age of 5. She started with tap and ballet, then went on to study jazz, lyrical and hip-hop. Linda opened the Dallas, Oregon, France School of Dance in 1990 and then moved it to Rickreall, Oregon, in 2000.

Meet Snoopy-a sweet senior boy who needs us right now.
Snoopy has a painful tumor growing inside his mouth, and it’s making it impossible for him to eat. His family, who are seniors on a very limited income, reached out in desperation because they simply cannot afford the surgery he needs.

The good news is that Snoopy can be helped. The tumor can be removed, and with it, his pain and his struggle to eat. The estimate for surgery is $1,000–$1,400, and his family is doing everything they can but they can’t do this alone.

This older gentleman has given his family years of love and companionship. Now it’s our turn to show up for him.

If you’re able, please consider donating toward Snoopy’s care. Every single dollar makes a difference, and together we can give him the chance to eat, heal, and enjoy his golden years without pain.
