Crafting personalized jewels one bead at a time.
In this two-hour handbuilding workshop lead by Hali Emminger of Hechizo, you'll get hands-on practice using plaster press molds to make ceramic cabochons for jewelry. Plus a demo on how to make your own! We'll use handbuilding tools and techniques - but on a tiny scale! - to create functional bolos, beads and slider clasps out of clay. Utilizing underglaze, carving and other surface decorating techniques youโll make unique jewelry pieces from raw clay. A small amount of cordage will be supplied, but students are encouraged to bring their own for inspiration. All other materials are included. Students must be 16 years of age or older. Classes are limited to 8 participants.
