Nine years ago, we opened our doors with a simple mission: to give children a joyful, nurturing place to learn, grow, and be curious about the world around them. Today, we’re overflowing with gratitude for how far we’ve come.

To our incredible teaching team 💛 thank you for the endless patience, creativity, and heart you bring to our classrooms every single day. You turn ordinary moments into meaningful ones, and our students are so lucky to have you.

Roly poly take over! Our teachers used this simple backyard visitor to introduce big concepts: observation skills, gentle handling of living things, and early vocabulary (curl, crawl, antennae, habitat). Children took turns holding roly polys, watching them curl into a protective ball, and asking “why do they do that?” — exactly the kind of question-asking we love to see.

Research shows that nature-based exploration at this age supports sensory development, patience, and empathy — all while sneaking in real science content. A simple bug on the playground becomes a full lesson in curiosity. 🔍🌿

Science in action at Curious Explorers Academy! Our little scientists got up close with roly polys (aka pillbugs) today — watching how they curl into a ball, counting their legs, and talking about the safe, damp places they like to hide.

This kind of hands-on exploration builds early scientific thinking: observation, curiosity, and gentle care for living things. Plus a little healthy dose of “ew, cool!” 🔍✨

Something as simple as peeling and placing stickers is quietly building big skills in your little one. Here’s what’s happening behind the scenes:
