EKU Medical Laboratory Science

Maizy's Wednesday walk this week was with another longtime friend of hers--EKU Honors junior Medical Laboratory Science major Annamarie Seamans from Lexington, KY. We talked about her proposal for the upcoming NCHC this fall in New Orleans, and about her summer study abroad plans in South Korea. We also discussed her plans for an MD/Ph.D. program following graduation from EKU. She told me that she is especially enjoying her Biochemistry course with Dr. Brock this semester.

On Friday, several of our Environmental Health Science students and faculty joined our friends from Medical Laboratory Science for a field trip to the Kentucky Department for Public Health’s Division of Laboratory Services in Frankfort. It was an incredible opportunity to explore real-world applications of laboratory science and public health collaboration!
