God is good! Yesterday, our students, staff, and parent chaperones returned from an amazing adventure at Camp For All.

It was a joy to watch our students build confidence and step out of their comfort zones. From the thrills of ziplining and rock climbing to peaceful moments canoeing and fishing on the water, they supported each other every step of the way. The evenings were just as sweet, filled with laughter, storytelling, and plenty of s'mores around the campfire.

A special shoutout to our parent chaperones and staff, your support allows us to create a safe, encouraging space where our students can shine exactly as God intended. Thank you for a memorable trip! 🪵🛶🎣🔥

This week in Study Skills, our students explored what it means to be Nature Smart, one of the eight unique types of intelligences!

For students who learn differently, traditional study environments aren't always the perfect fit. That’s why we looked at how the great outdoors (and elements of nature) can be powerful tools to help them relax, focus, and study more effectively.

Here are a few "Nature Smart" strategies our students learned about this week:

Changing the Scenery: Taking flashcards or reading assignments outside to a porch, park, or backyard to refresh the mind.

Natural Brain Breaks: Using a quick walk outside, watching birds, or spending five minutes in the sun to reset attention spans between study blocks.

Bringing Nature Indoors: Utilizing natural light, placing a small plant on a desk, or playing ambient nature sounds (like rainfall or forest noise) to create a calming, low-stress study zone.

We love helping our students discover the unique ways their brains work best!
