"The Hult Prize is a start-up accelerator for social entrepreneurship, which brings together the brightest college and university students from around the globe to solve the world’s most pressing issues. The annual initiative is the world’s largest student competition and crowd-sourcing platform for social good, and has been funded by the Hult family

since its inception in 2009." This year, Hult Prize at Earlham College will provide an opportunity for students to present their solutions to problems of early childhood education in urban slums and beyond. From Hult Prize at Yale, students can qualify directly to the regional competition. Jennifer earned her B.A. from Juniata College in communication and conflict resolution and M.A. in communication studies with an emphasis in rhetorical theory and criticism from the University of Montana.

Rick Duncan is the current Director of Programming & Operations at Whitewater Broadcasting. He also hosts the G101-3 Morning Show. Aside from radio, Rick is a veteran voice-over professional and host of several charity events both on radio and television. He brings with him experience of dealing with Public Speaking from both in front of and behind the scenes.

Through three 1-hour sessions (November 10th, 11th, 12th; 7-8pm EST), you will be able to gain valuable tips on what Public Speaking entails on various platforms. Each day we will host a different speaker, each bringing a different perspective; Rick Duncan (Director of Programming & Operations at Whitewater Broadcasting), Jennifer Lewis (Public Speaking Professor at Earlham), and Jyarland Daniels (President/Founder of Harriet Speaks, and a published author).
After attending all 3 sessions of the event, you will be able to obtain a certificate of completion that may become valuable when applying for future opportunities.

The Hult local Competition was held this past week on Wednesday, December 29th. Teams competed and many members from Earlham College and Richmond community came to support. Our Winning team is Methane Hub! Their team will be going to Semi-Finals, Regional competition for Hult Challenge.
