Religious Education Association annual meeting - presentation, student engagement, colleagues!

I'm delighted to share that I'll be partnering with colleagues Lakisha Lockhart and Jessica Young Brown to present a collaborative session entitled, "Volition and Vocation: The Interplay of Intention and Passion in Discernment," at the Religious Education Association annual meeting November 3-5, 2017, in St. Louis!

Healthy Communication was the topic of my presentation last night at Fountain of Deliverance Outreach Ministries in Richmond. What a wonderful congregation led by STVU student LaTavia Taylor and her family!

Today I had the honor of meeting two amazing and insightful adolescents, Van and Suan, who came into the session I was leading a little late. I had just shared findings from my research about making space for youth/young adults to use their voices and gifts, understanding faithful fallow times, etc. One of the grown ups in the session started asking Van and Suan questions and, having not heard what I shared, their responses corroborated my findings completely. So gratifying!
