Thank you, Jay County Football for your support of our athletes, their families, our community, and all the communities affected by the devastating flooding.

As stated, high school football has the opportunity to teach young athletes many life lessons. One of those lessons is learning that sports can bring communities together in times of tragedy. Another lesson is learning that, sometimes, it’s about so much more than the game.

A special shoutout and thank you goes to Jay County Head Coach, Coach Eddie Fields, for allowing all of our athletes the opportunity to recognize that we’re in a time where brotherhood means a whole lot more.

Thank you to our brothers in Jay County. We are rooting for you all year! 💙❤️

Richmond Red Devils Community Update

Our thoughts and prayers are with two of our Red Devil athletes who were injured while participating in a fan game between innings at the Richmond Flying Mummies game. One of the athletes sustained critical injuries, and both players and their families are facing an incredibly difficult time.

We ask our entire Richmond community to come together in prayer for both athletes, their families, their teammates, our coaches, and everyone who has been impacted by this extremely unfortunate event. Please continue to keep the families of both athletes especially close in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate the days ahead.

We also want our students and players to know that they do not have to process this alone. Counseling services will be available at school tomorrow, August 10, for students and players who need support. We strongly encourage anyone who is struggling, feeling overwhelmed, or simply needs someone to take to, to take advantage of these resources. Please also reach out to a trusted loved one or seek professional guidance if you need help processing what happened.

There are no perfect words for a moment like this, but we can continue to show what it means to be a community by supporting one another.

To everyone who has reached out, offered prayers, shared words of encouragement, or supported our athletes and families in anyway - thank you. Your support means more than you know.

We R Richmond Strong. ❤️🤍

🏈🚨 RICHMOND RED DEVILS PRE-SEASON SPOTLIGHT 🚨🏈

As our 2026-27 football season rapidly approaches, we want to showcase student-athletes that have been the cornerstone of raising the standard for Richmond Football.

Dre Street, Class of 2027
- Street has truly been the kind of player every coach wants to have on their team. Street has been described by RHS staff, and the staff from schools we have scrimmaged, as a "game-wrecker." Street has really stepped into leadership, holding himself and others accountable. Street is our strongest student-athlete on the team as the sole member of our Platinum Club (1500 total lbs) in the weight room. Street is expected to be a very exciting player to watch this season.

Cam Reed, Class of 2028
- Cam did not miss a single workout this offseason, dating back to late January. Cam has also stepped into leadership, not being afraid to push himself and everyone around him. Cam works to ensure the players around him get better with his presence. Cam had a mission this offseason to take a spot on the team and not look back. Cam is one of the strongest student-athletes on the team, and we are excited for what he brings to the team this season!

Tyziyah Stubbs, Class of 2028
- Ty has been another one of our most consistent players this offseason through the summer. Ty has been described as one of our most explosive players, offensively. Returning as one of the top ballcarriers, averaging 7.0 yards per carry, Ty is expected to be a nightmare matchup for opposing teams. Ty showcased his talents at the Indiana State skills camp in June and has continued to try to win every rep in practice.

Isaiah Delucio, Class of 2029
- Delucio came into the offseason with many goals for himself. Delucio entered the offseason with a baseline Squat Max of 415lbs. Through consistency, commitment, and relentless effort, Delucio finished the offseason workout program with a Squat Max of 525lbs. Delucio is our only student-athlete to reach the 500lb mark. This is a testament to his deire to push himself and hold a vital role on our team. Once provided an opportunity, Delucio is the kind of student-athlete that will seize it and never look back.

As said before in many posts, these are just four of the many student-athletes that are working relentlessly to build Richmond Football into a formidable and respected program. Stay tuned, Richmond, the sky is the limit for this team. We are eager for this season to begin, and see the support from the community!
