Helping lost men find hope.

I couldn't help but ask myself, "Should we be doing more?"

I watched men like Tim Ballard and others who dedicate their lives to rescuing children from trafficking. I thought about pro-life evangelists who faithfully stand outside abortion clinics every week, pleading for mothers to choose life and sharing the hope of the gospel.

The more I reflected and prayed about it, the more I realized I was making a mistake.

I think it is ok to reflect on them as believers living out their kingdom work. But I dont need to covet their success. I need to rejoice.

They are on a mission sent by God & we should support people on a mission like the Bible calls us to, fulfilling the "one anothers" of the church.

The kingdom of God needs people rescuing children.

It needs people defending the unborn.

It also needs people helping raise the kind of men who don't contribute to those tragedies in the first place.

We've also begun rethinking what outreach looks like for M2M.

Rather than simply organizing events, we want to become a trusted resource for men in crisis.

We want to build partnerships with Christian counselors, attorneys, financial coaches, recovery ministries, businesses, churches, and organizations that are willing to serve men who need help.

We want to connect him with people who can help him take the next faithful step.

But we can't do this alone.
We're looking for men who share this vision—men who are willing to serve as board members, volunteers, mentors, and partners as we continue building this ministry on the foundation of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

And if you're a man who has considered joining our discipleship or Bible reading but keeps putting it off, I'd encourage you not to wait.

My name is Richard Rothenbach. I'm a Christian, husband, father, active-duty Army officer, and Co-Founder of Map to Manhood.

Over the years, I've seen men succeed professionally while failing spiritually, relationally, and personally. I've also seen countless men spend years searching for hope, purpose, and identity in careers, relationships, money, pleasure, or achievement, only to discover those things were not as advertised. Too often, the consequences extend far beyond the man himself. His wife, his children, his friendships, and even future generations are affected by the foundation upon which he builds his life.

The truth is, I was one of those men. I spent years believing that purpose and fulfillment could be found in what I accomplished rather than in the One who created me. By God's grace, He changed the direction of my life, my marriage, my family, and my understanding of what it means to be a man. That transformation gave birth to Map to Manhood.

Our mission is to help men find hope and equip them to navigate life God's way. We pursue that mission through biblical discipleship, practical education, land navigation training, and trusted resources and partnerships that equip men to faithfully navigate life's toughest terrain.

We are building something powerful on the foundation of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
