We are proud to be home to the Wyatt T. Walker Collection. Walker, a chief strategist for Martin Luther King Jr., was praised by King as “one of the keenest minds of the nonviolent revolution.” The collection features hundreds of documents, including Walker’s photographs of King during their 1967 Birmingham imprisonment, letters they exchanged on civil rights issues, and notes from his wife Theresa, who was an activist herself.
