It’s been way too long since I’ve shared on here!
We’re still in Uganda, and I’m so grateful to share that our adoption was officially completed a little over a year ago. Since then we’ve been in a waiting season for Tru’s visa. It’s taken much longer than we expected, but we continue to trust in God’s timing and are focusing on staying present in all the goodness He’s given us here.
One of the greatest gifts of this season has been the community we’ve found. Yesterday I attended my first Market Swap, and it was such a joy-filled morning—sharing brunch together and exchanging homemade goodies. I brought vanilla bean scones (which were a hit) and jars of pineapple-lime jam for everyone to take home.
It reminded me so much of my Shawna’s Table days💗- that same love of gathering around food, sharing recipes, and creating together. It also made me realize how much I miss it… and how determined I am to host a Market Swap when we’re back!
I’ll share the scone and jam recipes in the comments—they were too good not to pass along!
We all went home with a basket full of:
