Gloria majored in Biology and Geography, with minors in Archaeology and Data Science & Statistics. Her favorite class was 'Biodiversity and Environmental Health: From the River City to Aotearoa New Zealand' with Dr. Kristine Grayson. She says "The applied conservation and field trips during this course were an incredible experience in some of the most gorgeous places". One of her favorite places on campus is the woods by Westhampton Lake. During her time in UR Geography, she has greatly enjoyed being a part of the SAL ecosystem and appreciates the broader community it connected her to. Following her graduation, she intends to study ecology and use GIS to further conservation efforts! Congratulations Gloria and we are looking to see even more of the cool things you will do!!!

Next up on our Senior Series is Thuba Mnisi‼️
Thuba is Geography and Health Studies double major. Her favorite class at U of R was the senior capstone class with Dr. Spera in fall 2025 because "I chose the investigation myself; very enjoyable experience getting to connect so much with Richmond's Jackson Ward community". Her favorite place on campus is the Gazebo on Westhampton Lake and being a Geography major improved her U of R experience through a "Great community of students, staff and faculty that I could chat with in the SAL". After graduation, Thuba is headed off to get an MPH in Environmental Health Sciences at Yale School of Public Health!!!
