Hey hey … just sharing how grateful I feel after a client session.

This work can be challenging, of course, but it can also open up such joy and possibility!

If you’re scared, it’s okay. If you’re exhausted, that’s okay too.

Just know that the work is, in fact, worth it. And that YOU ARE WORTH THE WORK!

Love you. Carry on. 💕

Why do feelings matter anyway? Make sure to swipe ⬅️ for my take.

Let’s be honest. We can always let feelings go, leave them for later, and sometimes even forget them. And we can’t always express them in the moment because it’s not the right time or place.

So why should you care?

Because those feelings are telling you what’s important to you and what you need.

And when you ignore your values and needs, you abandon your Self.

But when you acknowledge your values and allow your needs to be heard, you embrace your Self. And you have a whole lot better of a chance of getting your needs met.

Authenticity breeds self-respect, self-respect opens the door to self-love, and self-love allows for YOU to be met and known and loved too.

Which matters a whole damn lot. 💕

Repeat after me: “I am worthy.”

Because you are.

No matter what you do.
How you show up.
When you succeed or fail.
Who you hurt or help.
Where you hide or flaunt.
If you shout or whisper.
Whether you believe it or not.

You’re here.

Which makes you worthy of all of the love, attention, praise, support, and anything else you’re looking for. 💕

What would change if you believed that like I do … about you?

“… how is that not miraculous? How is that not phenomenal? How does that not, if we really let it in, move us to awe and wonder?”

shares these ideas and more as she discusses our magnificence and miraculousness with , her wife, and sister on the podcast We Can Do Hard Things.

I’m only 10 minutes in, and I’m struck deeply.

Have you considered this?
Have you considered your magnificence?
Have you a sense of how miraculous you are?

Let’s start exploring that and embracing that and believing that. Together.

Letting Go This Year 12/31/2022

The last week has been really introspective for me. I’m realizing more and more that I’ve fallen back into these old habits - the ones I thought I’d left behind long ago. Negative self talk Fear of making mistakes Fear of success Waiting for someone else to give me permission Criticism and judgment I’ve pretended for a bit that I ditched them permanently....

The last week has been really introspective for me.

I’m realizing more and more that I’ve fallen back into these old habits - the ones I thought I’d left behind long ago.

This year ahead, it’s going to be less about fighting them and instead about just letting them go.

My evolution will be a slow and kind, gentle and consistent disconnect. One in which I unravel the tightness of my bond with these things, and allow them to just be.

They are a part of me. And I’m not going to fight with or against my Self anymore.

I’m letting these parts of me be known and accepted. Acknowledged for what they did for me and how they helped me become who I am. Thanking them for their service and allowing them freedom to retire if they’re ready.

I expect I’ll find relief in that letting go, and make space for change.

Make space for me.

The Wheel of Life exercise isn’t new, and it isn’t mine. Paul J. Meyer (one of the originators of life coaching) developed it in the 1960s.

It’s a simple and super informative way to drill down into what you’re spending time and energy on, and see how that differs from what you actually value and want in your life.

But there are so many ways to use this tool, and so many different versions of it out there …

So I’ve created a FREE resource for you to learn about and use it.

We people pleasers really like to make sure those we care about and relate with know how we feel about them without question.

That usually means that we put them before ourselves, right?

And changing that dynamic - and developing a stronger sense of our Self and our worth - can feel risky, because the effort we put into others will need to shift into effort for ourselves.

And the people we care about and relate to might feel less valued, and see us as thinking we’re somehow better than them.

So here’s a little wisdom a therapist once shared with me:

Focus on seeing your Self as equal to others. Remind your Self: “My needs are JUST AS IMPORTANT as everyone else’s.”

That changed a lot for me. Let me know what it does for you. ⬇️

Sometimes, especially this time of year, we forget to do the simplest things.

And guess what? They make a huge impact!

So the next time you’re feeling drained, or stressed, or burnt out, take a moment to get back to basics. It will help so much to drink some water, get out of your chair and stretch (even if it’s only 2 minutes).

Try it and let me know what changes. 💕
