Design for Good: CAVD DataSpace is a new platform designed to collect and visualize research on AIDS from around the world. The goal is to help scientists find a vaccine by making it easy to compare large sets of data on a standard scale. Check out their video below for more information. Design for Good: This week we're highlighting two projects from Water is Life, filter straws and the Drinkable Book. Filter straws are designed to clean about 2-3 liters of water a day while someone is drinking. The Drinkable book was prototyped in part by our own Jamie Mahoney. Each page contains instructions on use and can tear out to become a water filter. One book provides clean water for one person for a year!
