We are so grateful for all of the grandparents and special guests who joined us for Griddles with Grandparents! 🥞❤️ Our time together was filled with smiles, connection, and a focus on the importance of meaningful academic conversations at home and at school to support student learning and growth.

🦁✨ What an AMAZING first day! ✨🦁

We are so grateful to the Virginia Union University (VUU) Alumni for helping us welcome our Lion scholars this morning! Your energy and encouragement helped make our first day extra special. 💛❤️

Our students and teachers did an amazing job today, and we are so proud of the way everyone started the year!

🦁 What an AMAZING Open House! ❤️💛

Our Open House was so well attended, and we couldn’t have asked for a better way to kick off the new school year! The energy, excitement, and sense of community throughout Laburnum were incredible.

We are so thankful for our families, staff, and community partners who joined us, including Pastor Blanchard and First Baptist Church, Speaking Spirit Ministries, Henrico County Public Library, Officer Brummitt (HCPD), Henrico County Public Schools FACE Department, and Henrico Mental Health.

And of course, our Laburnum Lion mascot was AMAZING and brought plenty of ROAR to the celebration! 🦁

Day 2 was a success! 🦁✨ Today’s focus was on policies, procedures, and digital wellness, led by our ILC, along with Being Trauma-Informed, led by our SST. We’re continuing to learn, grow, and prepare to make this an amazing year for our Lions! ❤️💛
