Registration now open!

Join University of Richmond JOLT on Friday, October 2 for their annual symposium highlighting the ever-changing intersection of law and technology.

This year's symposium, "Atoms to Algorithms: The Race to Power the Digital Future," explores how the AI race has caused the United States’ demand for energy and data centers to rapidly increase. The morning session will examine how nuclear energy, now more than ever, is in the spotlight as possibly the way forward. The afternoon session will dive into how data centers are consuming energy and driving the push for the U.S. to expand the grid.

Speakers will also seek to flesh out the nuanced conversation around data centers ranging from national security, to environmental, and economic concerns.

4.0 Virginia CLE credits pending. Event is free, but registration is required. This event will be held in-person (no virtual attendance option).

We recently caught up with Alyssa G. Harrison, L’25, to discuss how the Richmond Law web continues to stretch far beyond lessons learned in the classroom.

Between a law school friend officiating her wedding last summer, making an intentional effort to connect with new faces at alumni events, and working alongside a fellow spider during the first year of her clerkship, there is no shortage of gratitude in Alyssa's spotlight piece.
