These sweet children amaze me weekly with their passion for dance and commitment for progress. While we are now heading toward our Spring Recital (choreography started this week!!!), enrollment will be opening for fall on February 25th… join us ❤️

There is nothing more beautiful than watching little feet learn to dance with glorious and graceful abandon…

Our fall season has begun with all of our classes up and running and what a delight to see every age enter the studio with excitement and energy.

The body is one of the most beautiful instruments known to man. It is unparalleled in it’s ability to capture and hold a capacity for eloquence and emotion…to move with fluency…and to see in each heartbeat beauty and majesty, delicacy and strength, and the power of worship and technique.

I am humbled every day to work with these dancers who are already working on expanding their movement vocabulary to develop their art.

The students in our Intermediate and Advanced Level Ballet classes returned to the studio last week. It was lovely to return to the studio and to be captivated once again by the mystery, magic, wonder and beauty of ballet and the art of movement. Being in class also served as a powerful reminder of the timeless legacy that each of us steps into when we become a part of the legacy of dance.

As we begin our 10th season, the word “legacy” has become infinitely more precious and will become a touch point for our students this year as we reflect upon the past and move into the future.

I am infinitely humbled and appreciative for all who have been and are a part of our ongoing journey ❤️

Dear Dance Candle Community,
This past month has been a whirlwind in our studio life! In January, we began work on Dan Forrest's beautiful "Requiem for the Living" that was presented April 30th and May 1st. What an honor to fit movement to music as beautiful as this score. We are so grateful to so many for making this possible, but especially to Dan for allowing us to use his music to choreograph something that we pray will inspire others. We hope to collaborate live with Dan in the future!

It was so fun to shoot a promotional video this afternoon for the SSM Health Fair that will take place on February 12, 2022.

With the launch of our Dance Candle Online Studio, we have not only been able to offer online classes, but are continuing to focus on honoring and worshiping God with health and wellness ❤️.

We are excited to see what 2022 will have in store.

It has already been an eventful year with snow and transformers (😉) but these beautiful young faces are precious reminders from God of why I LOVE my job ❤️❤️❤️

All classes are back in session!!! Our first adult ballet class will start this Saturday, January 15th.

There are no words to express the joy, the wonder, the amazement and awe of the past couple of days. In some ways, my heart and mind are just catching up with each other.

To have an opportunity to work with a beautiful group of hard working dancers is humbling, and that we all get to work together to worship and glorify God is the most precious gift of all.
