On this day ( ) January 28, 1986, Space Shuttle Challenger mission STS-51L launched at 11:38 am Eastern Standard Time. 73 seconds into the flight an explosion destroyed the spacecraft. All seven crew members - Dick Scobee, Mike Smith, Greg Jarvis, Judy Resnik, Ron McNair, Ellison Onizuka, and Christa McAuliffe - were killed.

Kids are excited for today's bridge competition

Harmony Science Academy Sugar Land is proud to announce its first Silent Auction featuring student’s work. An amazing piece of art will be auctioned at our annual Winter Gala.

Our art teacher, Mr. Shepherd, is on his third year of teaching at Harmony Science Academy - Sugar Land. Mr. Shepherd decided to put his student’s drawings into a big canvas to delight, inspire and ignite the imagination of the school with what he calls, “The World from a Child’s Mind”. Mr. Shepherd has been fascinated with every portfolio his students from Kinder through Third create year after year. Mr. Shepherd has a great technique he uses at the beginning of class to get his students attention that creates a relaxing atmosphere that awakens student’s creativity. In his class, students are encouraged to be themselves, creative and expressive with their work.
