Teaching is one of the most amazing — and most challenging — careers. On the hard days, I pull out my bin of thank-you notes from former students and parents. Those words truly stay with you.

Now through May 8, students can send an online thank-you note to their favorite K-12 public school teacher at www.ThankaTeacherVA.com.

Teachers will receive their digital thank-you notes during Teacher Appreciation Week in May, and they could win fun prizes from the Virginia Lottery and its partners! Four top prizes will be awarded across the state: $2,500 for the teacher and $2,500 in supplies for their school from The Supply Room!

It’s such a meaningful way to show appreciation, and another way the Virginia Lottery supports public school education.
