Now through May 8, you can help your child or student send an online thank-you note to their favorite K-12 public school teacher at www.ThankaTeacherVA.com.

Teachers will receive their digital thank-you notes during Teacher Appreciation Week in May, and they could win fun prizes from the Virginia Lottery and its partners!

Four top prizes will be awarded across the state: $2,500 for the teacher and $2,500 in supplies for their school from The Supply Room!

It’s such an easy way to show appreciation, and another way the Virginia Lottery supports public school education.

If you can’t beat em, join em! My class is all about fidget toys these days, so we turned their first class reward into “Fidget Friday!” It was awesome! We had two simple rules and they made for a great day. I didn’t even have to give out a single warning! 🤩

They earned “Fidget Friday” for earning 10 class points. They earn class points when they receive a compliment from another teacher. They can also receive a class point from me when everyone is going above and beyond!

When they reach 10 class points, they get to choose their reward. Students share out their ideas and I write the ones I approve of on the board. Then, they vote on what they want!

Fidget Friday was a big success! I honestly hope they choose this one again! 😂
