May is Stroke Awareness Month and on Thursday, CBIS Director of Programs, Jen, The Denbigh House, Clubhouse for Survivors of Brain Injury Clubhouse Director, Becki and Denbigh House member, Monika were invited to attend a Stroke Awareness Fair at Riverside Rehabilitation Hospital. They enjoyed meeting with patients and rehab therapists and the opportunity to share more information about our programs and services and opportunities after a stroke. Thank you for having us and remember when it comes to the symptoms of a stroke to B.E. F.A.S.T. (save the last image!)

We are so thankful for our partnership with Sheltering Arms Institute and the Sheltering Arms Foundation! Thank you so much to the Foundation for your continued investment in our community-based programs and services at Community Brain Injury Services to help survivors of brain injury navigate the road back into the community and living at the greatest level of independence possible. We thank you for your generous grant!

THROWBACK THURSDAY:
To last Thursday, when Middle Peninsula Case Manager Robyn Hicks welcomed individuals to the first monthly brain injury meetup in Gloucester! This dynamic group had lots to share and talk about and are looking forward to welcoming more participants next month! June's meeting will also be held at the Library on Main Street in Gloucester on the third Thursday- June 18th- at 1p.
