A little laughter, a lot of connection and one shared purpose. 💙
Our Richmond Higher Education Institutions came together for Convocation to kick off the 2026-27 academic year, reconnect as one RHEI community and reflect on the values that guide how we support our students and one another.
From Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing to Southside College of Health Sciences and St. Mary’s Hospital School of Medical Imaging, each school brings something different to our community. Together, we are rooted in purpose and rising in unity as we prepare for another year of learning, service and growth.
Here’s to the people behind our programs and the community that makes this work possible.

What does it take to bring a donor impact story to life? 🎥
Last week, we went behind the scenes with Bookend Creative to capture the people, programs and experiences that show what donor support makes possible at Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing.
From scholarships and student support to clinical simulation and new opportunities for future nurses, the day was all about sharing the impact happening across BSMCON.
A special thank you to everyone who stepped in front of the camera, worked behind the scenes and helped bring this project together. We can’t wait to share the finished video.

Meet Jazzy, our new Student Success Advisor! 👋
Jazzy knows firsthand the impact a great advisor can have. Inspired by the advisors who supported her through challenging moments in college, she built a career around helping students feel heard, supported and confident as they work toward their goals.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in sociocultural anthropology from Boston University and her master’s degree in educational policy, planning and leadership from William & Mary. Now, she’s excited to support our students from enrollment through graduation and beyond.
“I want the community to know that I’m dedicated to listening and finding answers. Students carry less stress when they know they can share their concerns without judgment, so that’s the type of advisor I aim to be.”
Outside of work, Jazzy enjoys crafting and hopes to get into making miniatures, including houses and landscapes.
Help us give Jazzy a warm welcome! 💙

Annie earned her bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of South Florida in 2020 and her MBA from Bluefield University in 2022. Her previous experience at a Catholic, faith-based institution inspired her to continue pursuing mission-driven work, making Bon Secours a natural fit.
In her new role, Annie looks forward to learning, growing alongside her colleagues and helping students successfully navigate their educational journeys.
Outside of work, Annie is a proud Puerto Rican native who was raised in Central Florida. She is a devoted Shrek and anime fan, enjoys exploring antique shops, reads Spanish-language books and loves building LEGO Botanical sets.

Twin sisters. One Welcome Session. A shared calling to care.
Meet Trinity and Serenity, twin sisters beginning their nursing journey together at Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing.
For Serenity, nursing has always been the plan. For Trinity, life experiences and a natural instinct to care for others helped lead her to the same path. Though their journeys have been their own, both say nursing feels like a natural extension of who they are.
Raised with values of resilience, responsibility and compassion, Trinity and Serenity said starting nursing school together feels like a “full circle” moment and the beginning of a new chapter.
Now, they get to take on that chapter side by side by studying together, motivating each other and supporting one another through the challenges and milestones ahead.
Welcome to CON, Trinity and Serenity. We’re so excited to watch your journey unfold.

Please join us in congratulating Dr. Amy Feurer as she begins her new role as Dean of Curriculum and Instruction for Bon Secours Richmond Higher Education Institutions and Campus Director for Southside College of Health Sciences.
Dr. Feurer brings 31 years of nursing experience and has served with the ministry since March 2008. Over the past three years, she has worked closely with the SCHS nursing program through her role as Associate Dean of Academic Affairs at Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing, building a strong foundation for this next chapter.
In this role, she looks forward to further engaging with SCHS programs, building meaningful relationships with radiologic and sonography program leadership and faculty and continuing to support students, faculty and staff across campus.
