The free divisionwide festival — ARTS stands for artists, residents, teachers and students — celebrates the creativity of our HCPS students and staff and brings together talented young artists and the local arts community.

Explore vibrant artwork from every HCPS school and support HCPS' creative spirit Saturday and Sunday (March 8-9) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Glen Allen High School (10700 Staples Mill Road).

Car Rider Drop off Reminders

A few friendly reminders for a smooth and safe morning drop-off in the car loop:

🚗 Please remain in your car until your child reaches the sidewalk. Parking and walking across the lot can be unsafe and slows down traffic.
🚫 The teacher parking lot is not a drop-off area—please do not park there and walk your child to the front door.

🌙Ramadan Mubarak! We wish all who celebrate a month full of happiness, peace, and reflection

Ramadan begins when a small sliver of the moon (waxing crescent) emerges and becomes visible. The first sighting is expected to be the evening of Feb 28th, with the final evening of Ramadan (Eid al-Fitr) occurring on March 29th.

During Ramadan, Muslims fast from dawn to sunset. The pre-dawn meal is called sehri and the nightly meal to break the fast is known as iftar. Fasting is one of the Five Pillars of Islam, along with the profession of faith, prayer, almsgiving, and pilgrimage. Fasting is meant to cultivate self-restraint, gratitude, closeness to God, and sympathy for the poor and hungry.
