Opening in 1971, Tuckaway-West was the very first Tuckaway school. Opening in 1971, Tuckaway West was the very first Tuckaway school.

This location proudly maintains a close-knit family feel. Parents frequently comment on how many hugs their children receive. West's separate classrooms provide close attention for younger children and the large school-age classroom features a sunny back porch area for woodworking, painting, or other crafts. The school's small group sizes allow its caring staff to know every child's unique persona

We started our first week of summer with one of our favorite traditions—Flat Creek Farm and their amazing petting zoo! The children and staff had an incredible time meeting all the animals, and the baby animals were definitely the stars of the show.

A huge thank you to Flat Creek Farm for bringing so much joy, excitement, and hands-on learning to our day. The smiles and laughter were the perfect way to kick off an unforgettable summer!

Our orangebirds had the best time exploring sensory play with shaving cream, rubber ducks, sheep, and frogs! Hands-on fun like this helps spark creativity, imagination, and lots of giggles while learning through play.

We had special visitors from Station 9 today! The firefighters showed us their fire trucks and all the important gear they use to help keep themselves and our community safe. We learned about fire safety, smoke alarms, and the importance of knowing what to do if we hear a fire alarm. Our preschool kids loved exploring, asking questions, and learning from our everyday heroes
