I’m reaching out to you in case you’re looking for a fundraising opportunity.

Our website platform - Fundit - allows organizations like elementary school PTAs to partner with local restaurants for fundraising needs. It’s a much more convenient version of a spirit night because once people buy a voucher from the restaurant, they can claim their food (eg: 1 large pizza) whenever they want. They can also buy 5 pizza vouchers, and redeem them throughout the year whenever they want! This allows for more sales and funds for you. We have a couple restaurants in the Short Pump area on our site that support local community groups.

If you’re interested please let me know, and I can setup a call to give you more details and/or set you up with a fundraiser in minutes! I'd love to help you all :)

Did you know the Reflections themes are actually submitted by students? In fact, two years ago the theme selected was from a student at Shady Grove Elementary.

This year, the PTA would like to encourage our students to submit their ideas for a theme by completing the online form by November 15.

The Reflections Committee will then select 5 themes to submit to the Virginia PTA who will vote on the top 5 themes which will be submitted to the National PTA. The National PTA will then choose a theme sometime in February for the 2020-2021 Reflections program. The winning student receives $100 from National PTA!

All hands on deck for SPES Cleanup Day!!

What: Coming together to clean up the grounds of SPES! This includes pruning, weeding, raking, and trash collecting.
Who: Parents and kids alike! Give your students a point of pride when they come back to school to know they made a difference.
When: This Saturday, August 12th at 8:00 a.m. (we are trying to beat the heat!)

With many volunteers we can make quick work of some areas that need a little TLC. Please provide your own tools, gardening gloves, and trash bags. We'll provide the doughnuts and drinks!
