We’ve had a busy week at Shane’s Tech Rescue, and we wanted to share one of the projects happening behind the scenes.

We recently purchased a lot of 17 Chromebooks, and our team has already started the full refurbishing process. Each device is being deep cleaned, repaired, tested, and restored so it can go right back into use here in Madison County. Some will become reliable everyday machines for students and families, and others will support the community programs we’ve been building over the years.

This kind of project is exactly why we do what we do — taking older tech, giving it a second life, and keeping it working for the people who need it most. It’s practical, sustainable, and it makes a real difference one device at a time.

We’ll share more updates as these Chromebooks make their way through the shop and out into the community. For now, just know that good work is happening, and we’re excited to keep it moving.
