ANOTHER CLUTCH WIN FOR THE RED DEVILS!
For the second time this season, a Richmond match came down to Tej Patel at No. 3 singles with the team score tied 2-2 — and once again, Patel delivered.
After winning the opening set 6-4 and dropping the second 5-7, Patel battled back to take the deciding third-set tiebreaker 10-4 and secure Richmond's 3-2 victory.
It marks the third time already this season Patel has won a third and deciding set — and the second time his victory has provided the deciding team point in a 3-2 Richmond win.
Xander Harrick continued his strong play at No. 1 singles with an impressive 6-1, 6-2 victory.
Miguel Mira-Galeano and Samuel Diaz Forero were dominant at No. 2 doubles, rolling to a 6-0, 6-0 victory.
