What do master gardeners do when we aren’t working with plants? Barb and I make hypertuffa planters and mushrooms. We are first timers so who knows how this will turn out. You never know until you try.

Master Gardener Pam Howie shared her vast knowledge of orchids at the Richmond Senior Recreation Center this month. As a special bonus, she gave away a beautiful pink orchid to a lucky door prize winner. Pam is the person to ask if you have orchid questions. Next month (Oct. 14) Bev King will help us prepare for planting our fall bulbs. We’ll have some iris rhizomes to give away as well.
