A year ago NOAH-O BCMusic1st Dee Distant and his son, and Zxulu hit Broad St to shoot the video for “Success” off my album with producer Dub Sonata “Much Given, Much Tested.”

I love finding stuff like this in my phone because this is what it’s about. From the outside looking in, so much of what we do seems crazy to people. I’m somehow still amazed at how much people are willing to think they are experts at something they’ve never even tried.

This video was edited by who had the fun job of sifting through footage from both Noah-O and my journey as musicians, educators, entrepreneurs, and whatever else this thing demands of us.

The only plan we really had was to meet up at which made perfect sense being it represents the hard work Noah and have put in to become more than just a record label but a street wear brand and organization that is heavily invested in the community, as events like have now shown and proven for 3 years in a row.

We had no idea we’d run into Zxulu, a legend in radio who has seen us come up from day one and be graciously jumped in a few shots with us and kicked it.

This is our life.

Success isn’t something that you wait for others to appraise and validate, it’s the small things and moments that no one else sees or gets.

It’s something you earn.

Understanding, accepting, and refusing to let all the negativity that comes with making your dreams desires into reality stop or slow you down is part of being successful.

If you think can do better, get off your phone and go do it.

In the meantime we’ll keep working, learning, and creating the world and lives we desire instead of waiting for someone else to give us the chance that only we can give to ourselves.

This is what I call stealth mode. 🥷
