Thank you to the Pacific Gas and Electric Company Ergonomics Team for hosting an informative field experience for us at their electric training academy. These field experiences help our students extend what they learn in the classroom about ergonomics risk exposure and controls, to real applications in industry. We truly appreciate these learning opportunities!

Isaiah Barajas-Smith, Brandon (Sean) Phillips, and Meg Honan represented UC Ergonomics Research and Center for Occupational and Environmental Health - COEH at the Conference. Isaiah and Sean both presented posters on their related research, for which Sean was named Student of the Year!

A few of us represented the lab and had a great time at the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society conference in Washington DC last week. Congratulations to Yishu Yan and Frederick Houghton for being accepted to present their research about the Application of inertial measurement units and deep learning methods to recognize occupational physical activities when performing complex tasks (Yishu) and Relating in-vivo strain of the flexor digitorum superficialis tendon with grip force (Freddie).

Thank you to Christa Martindale for hosting us at the Genentech South San Francisco campus last week for an informative field trip! Your occupational health, ergonomics and EHS programs are impressive and inspiring.
