It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Evan Harmon, MHI, RHIA. Evan was a 2009 graduate of the Health Services Administration Program.

Throughout his career he demonstrated leadership and innovation in the health information management (HIM) profession. Serving in various leadership roles within KHIMA and BGHIMSS. He was passionate about helping to grow the next generation of HIM students. He constantly served as a site supervisor to the students of the HSA/HCA program helping give them exposure to the work he loved so much.

Our hearts go out to his family, friends, and each life he touched through his dedication to making healthcare a better place.

Evan, your contribution to our program, lives, and the HIM profession made a giant impact and you will missed by so many.

Dr. Tudor’s HCA 406 - Healthcare Quality Management class toured the Toyota Plant in Georgetown. Over the past few weeks they have been learning about Lean and the Toyota Production System and how we can use these concepts to help improve healthcare for staff and patients.

We appreciate Toyota (TMMK) for providing these tours for our students and allowing our students to make connections between concepts learned in class and real world applications.
