Winnie: Can we play a game, but also watch this trick?!

One of our favorite spots to visit in the summer is Range Pond State Park in Poland! It’s great to come here with a few good books, a game, and some snacks. It’s a wonderful way to enjoy the day, make new friends, and have fun exploring.

Do you have a favorite state park?

We’re running through this summer!

As we enter week Four (?!), I want to give a huge shout-out to two incredible families who have been so supportive with our garden project.

The Chadwick family, Thank You, Tory, for providing materials and installing the fence around our garden box to help protect it from our happy little intruder.

The Johnson family, Thank You, Lacey, for providing soil, replacement plants (for the ones our happy intruder enjoyed), additional planting bags, and our new owl that is hopefully convincing the little punk to leave the remaining plants alone.

Your generosity has helped our garden keep growing, even after a few unexpected snack attacks.

Lastly, Thank You to ALL of our community members that have helped in numerous ways. Not only for the help, materials, and seeds, but more importantly for showing our students what community looks like: magical, supportive, resilient, and always willing to help one another grow. 💚🌱

Do you know the difference between product-based art and process-based art?

Take a look at these photos of our students creating, exploring, and experimenting with art materials both indoors and outdoors. What do you notice?

Drop your thoughts in the comments, I'd love to hear what you think the difference is! I'm excited to see how many members of our community already know and can't wait to share more about the value of both approaches to art and creativity.

While waiting for friends to take their turns in the bathroom and rejoin the group, these two sat together on the porch with a book, sharing stories, turning pages, and enjoying one another’s company.

In our daily rhythm, children are always invited to choose books during waiting times, offering a calm, meaningful option while the group gathers.

Just an inviting space, books within reach, and the freedom to choose.

When literacy is woven naturally into a child’s day, books become more than something we “have to” read. They become companions for quiet moments, sparks for imagination, and invitations to connect with others.

These simple, unhurried moments remind us that a love of reading grows not from pressure, but from opportunity.
