Good afternoon BMA family.
In Church this morning, this song was sang and it reminded me that there will always be times of struggle and challenges. I can tend to forget that I can’t fight through life’s challenges by myself. It wasn’t designed for me to go it alone. I have to remember that I have a mighty Savior that is with me, and these periods of struggle are for Him to forge me into the man I need to be in order to fulfill my purpose in this life. Maybe you have felt this way at times also. I hope you enjoy this song as much as I did this morning.

Amilia Hoke earned her Ikkyu rank last night! She had to push herself further and harder than anything she has ever done before. And she did it! Good Job Amilia! We are super proud of you. Next step is Jr. Black Belt.

Congratulations to Tina and Tessa who earned their Nidan Black Belt rank (2nd degree) and to Alex who earned the rank of San Dan (3rd degree) in karate. Nice testing you three. I know you worked real hard and you earned it.

Through hard work, sacrifice, dedication, these students achieved their Shodan - 1st degree Black Belt. Easton, Cody, Sophia, Audrey, Landon, Leo, Chayton. Ella and Elliot. Way to go everyone! We are proud of you.

We celebrated our 25th Anniversary, Kick-A-Thon for The Rainbow Connection on Saturday, May 30th, by raising $34,168.00. The Rainbow Connection, grants wishes for kids with life threatening illness’s and we are honored to be the longest running fundraising group they have. I am very proud of our BMA families who continue to help make our event more successful every year. Our students learn what it means to have a servants heart and to have empathy and compassion for others. Thank you to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church for sponsoring our event with the use of the school gymnasium.

Here’s some pictures, of a few students who competed at the AWMA Tournament on May 16th. We had about 20 students compete, but between judging and coaching, I was not able to get pictures of everyone. We will post everyone’s medal earning results in the June News Letter.

Wishing everyone a great Memorial Day! Remember a prayer of remembrance and gratitude, to all the service men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country. May we honor them by protecting the freedoms they died to preserve.
