It’s Throwback Thursday, but we’re not throwing it too far back. Last month students enjoyed our SOL Culmination Carnival in celebration of the completion of Virginia Reads One Book. 📚 In true “Charlotte’s Web” style, students enjoyed a farm animal petting zoo and county fair games that focused on SOL standards! 🐷🕷️

We are so grateful to our partners at and who made funding and preparation for this endeavor possible! ❤️ Also, Mrs. Crochunis, our Literacy Coach - the strategist behind the carnival and for providing us some fantastic high school volunteers! 🦅

Yesterday was Earth Day and students enjoyed reading “Maybe Something Beautiful” and creating Earth Days murals in art class! 🌎🎨

Career Day success! Thank you to all the wonderful presenters who took time out of their day to share their knowledge with our students! 🦁 We learned about so many careers! Including:

We hope everyone is staying warm! ☃️ We are so proud of our 3rd grade students who created some amazing animal habitat science projects! 🦊 Other grade levels enjoyed viewing them and voting for their favorites! 🐼 Thank you to all of the 3rd grade family members who came out to the science fair and Ms. Lee, Ms. Patterson, Ms. Butler, Ms. Smith and Ms. Adkins for organizing such a great educational experience! 🦁

We kicked off our Hydrate RPS initiative yesterday! We are partnering with Fit4Kids to improve water access and intake for students at Redd! 💧 Every student at Redd received a brand new water bottle, learned how to properly clean them, and taste tested lightly flavored waters! 🤩 Classrooms received water bottle caddies and cleaning tools! Students should be housing their water bottles at school, so if for any reason your students water bottle makes it home, please send it back the next day! We are looking forward to more healthy and hydrated Lions! 🦁

Winter Wonderland Spirit Week is upon us! ❄️ We can’t wait to see our lions decked out in some festive gear! ☃️

Yesterday we kicked off Red Ribbon Spirit Week by wearing our neons and sunglasses! 😎 Our futures are bright! 💛💚🧡
